Event

Dataset / Survey name Magazine Creek Wetlands 200m x 200m Bird Transect
Event ID 47741e04-bf5c-45f6-8be1-8e1211ec62c7
Occurrence date 2023-02-04
Supplied date "2023-02-03T13:30:00Z"
End day of year 34
Event remarks Overcast, quite windy, ponds were mostly very full, 29 species were sighted. Ducklings were present for Black Duck , Chestnut and Grey Teal as well as Dusky Moorhen. No herons, egrets or spoonbills were sighted which was a little unusual. A large number of Little Corella (100) were sighted at the Eastern Parade end of the wetland both on the road, grassy vegetation and getting a drink which I had not seen before. Highlights were very good views of a Common Sandpiper (seen three times in 4 years), and a Swamp Harrier harrassing a Whistling Kite out of the wetland.
