Event remarks | Water levels very high (luckily wore boots) as some of the pond crossings were tricky trying to avoid water in the boots! Highlights were the very high number of Pink-eared Ducks, a very brief sighting of a Brown (?) Quail (a very uncommon sighting), and three raptor species, a pair of Black Shouldered Kites, a pair of Nankeen Kestrels and a very dark morph Swamp Harrier. 35 species were seen in total. |
